This is a case of a 47-year-old Syrian man with a 2-year history of deep and painless nasal ulceration, causing minimal symptoms. The patient, who left his country seeking asylum and protection from human rights violation, failed to seek medical attention till he arrived to Greece. The man presented to our department with extensive and irregular ulcerative lesions, exposing his nasal septum, accompanied with pus discharge. Histopathology examination of the biopsied lesion showed Langhans-type multinucleated giant cells, surrounded by lymphocytes, revealing tuberculosis infection. The patient referred to a tertiary health care hospital to receive targeted medical therapy.
